At the Austin HOT, we simply used the MITe app to obtain the azimuth and elevation. But it has other functions that require a WiFi connections, which we did not cover in class. I thought of this after I left the RC on Saturday. Next month, we should connect a WiFi access point and explore. I found the attached documentation for MITe on the Internet. Regards, Fredric KK6NOW

Did you have a router to connect to a wifi connected to the modem?

Yes— the MITe iPhone app by ViaSat was what they recommended at the Austin HOT.
Fredric had it installed on his phone already.
