Email check-in for 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 522, 5/29, 6/5 please.

Our team could check-in from almost anywhere (tried it successfully from Australia, EU, Asia) by EchoLink (with internet connection) had we used PAPAsys.com (a 501c3) as our Radio Check-in repeater system.  Which also has 21+ (FM Analog, DSTAR, DMR, C4FM Fusion) repeaters throughout So Cal and ~ 1 week generator capacity in case of power interruption.  Repeaters are isolatable as needed.  Bob gave a ARC DST presentation at one of the San Diego Luncheon meeting last February.

Bob,
I'm one of the drivers and as far as I know -- as of yesterday -- there are three (not five) drivers of the 15-passenger vans for shuttling volunteers. Three was also the number planned by Melissa a couple weeks ago. This is not to say that a couple additional communication operators aren't needed at stationary locations or in other (logistics?) vehicles: that's beyond my awareness.

Am capable of operating a portable HAM unit and no longer have one of my own to volunteer. Learned tactical communications through the City of San Diego CERT communications team.

Last Saturday there was a canvasing for smoke alarm installs at 3 mobile home parks in San Marcos. They signed up over 600 homes that would like to have smoke alarms installed. I was hoping they could use FRS radios to communicate during the install this Sat April 28th.  I did some testing and found that FRS radios will not cover all 3 mobile home parks sufficiently. They will have 5 vehicles transporting personnel and equipment between the 3 parks.  I’m looking for 5 radio operators that would be able to operate simplex in order to help support the Sound the Alarm event.
