I guess I fixed it. Everything looked OK, so I rebooted the Pi, assuming that it might be a poor little electronic lamb that had temporarily lost its digital way. Baa, baa, baa. Glad to see it's working.

This has happened before. Ted YAL can shed more light on it but IIRC it has to do with the Pi hanging up on an software update.

Thanks to whoever looked @ our Winlink gateway system.   It's back up and operational, soon it will populate our info, back on their packet map.   What was found to be the issue?   NI6H

Ted,  I had planned to do that, after the team meeting but I will have to work in N County instead. NI6H

I've recently upgraded my QTH and mobile stations and I have some surplus equipment for sale:

Two (2) Kenwood D-700A dual band transceivers each with instruction booklets, mounting brackets and a programming cable (you add the USB-serial converter if you don't have a serial port on your computer).

One (1) KPC3 TNC with 5.1 firmware (does Winlink just fine)

One (1) KPC3 TNC with 8.2 firmware (ditto Winlink and should have additional APRS capabilities - never used it as such, so can't confirm)

All equipment has been well maintained and fully functional. I'll have them with me tomorrow at the meeting.

Normally I wouldn't offer these in a venue such as this, except this time I know their one owner well (me).  They have been extremely useful pieces of equipment in my Red Cross and other emcom work, so I thought they might be useful to someone on the team. I've uploaded a revised fleet map that includes a new (to me) REACT/ARES joint use repeater, K6RRR on Mt Otay. This is the only change to the August 10 fleet map - if you have already updated your radios all you have to do is add Channel 95, 449.060, "-" offset, PL of 88.5 and channel name of "OTY449".

If someone who is going to be at chapter tomorrow can make sure the radio is on and tuned to 145.050, the raspi is powered on and the kantronics is powered on, that would be great. I have to fly out of town early tomorrow.  Assuming everything is powered on and it is still not working, I will take a look at it after I return.

Neither did I. :-) Thought I was doing a self-test to help Rich NI6H solve an issue getting a copy of his own email back. I do appreciate all the responses, though. Good to know comms work in both directions.
