PARC's 145.050 Digipeater on Palomar Mountain

UPDATE: We did our final testing on the new 145.050 digipeater yesterday, we have finally worked out all the kinks, so this "new" repeater is working with the SCOM 7300 controller.   Between funding, vacations, minor technical issues, we are finally ready to deploy the new unit.   Also; PARC's 146.700 duplex packet repeater has been working fine but like the 145.050 digipeater machine we are replacing the Motorola Mobil Micor repeaters, now ending their 3rd life, with Midland 2 meter radios, model 70-1342B, (now beginning their second life), both controlled under the SCOM 7300 controller, along with a few other systems.   

We are waiting for a break in the weather, to install both "new" repeaters, none of us want to go up in snow and we need 3-4 days of dry weather and then we will spend the day on the mountain, swapping out cabinets and rearranging the power supplies etc, to get it all back on the air.   So maybe within 2 weeks, "if the creek don't rise"...…….and grandpappy said!   I will let you know when we are operational.
