At the Austin HOT, we simply used the MITe app to obtain the azimuth and elevation. But it has other functions that require a WiFi connections, which we did not cover in class.

Yes— the MITe iPhone app by ViaSat was what they recommended at the Austin HOT.
Fredric had it installed on his phone already.

In order to use the Mite3 app you would need a wifi connection to the modem. We don't have any wifi routers in the kit or spares in chapter right now. Hopefully it's something we can add in the

I used SatFinder. Frederic used the app provided by the Red Cross. They both seemed to work fine. Biggest problem is getting the tripod level.
Adjusting the legs is quite clunky.

We were able to achieve a satellite signal ratio of ~ 8.06 which allowed a 25.9 MB Download speed and Upload of 4.19 MB (fairly respectable rate).
