DMR APRS GPS

Daniel Musick

I want to thank Bob Bernardi for helping with my update issue.
Now I need to know if there is anything I need to do to my radio other than to turn on GPS and APRS.
I am looking on https://aprs.fi/
and I don't see my station.
I live in the north county. Do I need to change some settings?
Is there someone who can help me?

Thanks

Turn the radio to red 1 and when the net control as for visitors push the button and speak your call sign. We will get you on the permanent roster next time it comes out.

Tonight I will be attending the meeting for the first time. Do I just tune into ARC32 Red 1 and listen? Do I have to check in? If so how do I do it?

Is this the right email to ask these questions?

Hi, Bob -

Following is from this webpage:

http://members.optuszoo.com.au/jason.reilly1/868mods.htm

I would try this first.

How do I reset the radio? -or- Why won’t the radio reset?
To reset the radio, turn it off, hold down the PTT button and the button directly beneath it and keep holding those buttons while turning the radio on. Within two seconds you will see on the display ’Are you sure you want to Initialize radio?’ and then Confirm above the green key and Exit above the red key. If you are sure you want to carry out the reset, press the green key and the radio will be reset.

On new firmware version 878 radios, if you do not see this displayed on screen, there is a setting in the CPS that needs to be changed, otherwise holding in the buttons for resetting will have no effect. Startup Reset needs to be set to ON to enable reset to be carried out.

Hi all:

Nat made a good comment/suggestion asking if Vista should be labeled San Marcos.  I took the names directly off of the papasys.com map and didn't notice that that location had two different names.  So I revised the map.  Thanks Nat.

I added a DMR repeater list and also renamed the file since it is not just a DMR location map.

Any more comments?
