Hello to all! 

Cal OES has arranged two FREE National Earthquake Technical Assistance Program (NETAP) web-based training opportunities for California.  Please help us publicize these courses to your constituents.  Due to the online format, there is no limit to the number of participants.  See below and the attached fliers for more information (there are individual fliers for each course as well as one combining the information for both courses).  Registration links are within the fliers.

FEMA P-154, Rapid Visual Screening of Buildings for Potential Seismic Hazards

Thursday, September 24, 2020, 1pm-5pm (Pacific)

Audience: Building officials, engineers, architects, building owners, emergency managers, risk analysts, and other interested citizens and volunteers.

Audience: Property owners, facility managers, local officials, engineers, architects, small businesses, and emergency managers.

• The trainings are tailored to California, so we ask that you direct publicity towards those who live or work in California.
• There is no limit on the number of registrants.
• Each training has a separate registration link, and participants may choose to sign up for one or both trainings.
• As participants are not gathering in-person for these trainings, there will be no hard copies of FEMA documents sent to participants (as in past years). Links to PDF copies will be provided.

I just heard from Royce who was supposed to do the North checkin’s for the net. He is at one of the TEP’s for the Valley Fire. It appears that will turn into a congregate shelter and he will not make tonight’s net. We will need someone to perform the North Checkin’s. As a reminder I’m out of the area so I won’t be on the analog net this evening. I am planning on doing a DMR net tonight if my hotspot and zumspot work correctly.
